TdF ~ Update
Now we're into the third week of the TdF, I remember why some call it le Tour de Fatigue! Late nights and early mornings aren't the best combination. Don't get me wrong, I'm thoroughly enjoying watching the TdF (go Cadel!!!), in fact I seem to be doing more watching than knitting!
My socks are coming along... they're at the heels. I'm still hoping to have them done by the time the race hits
l'Avenue des Champs-Élysées early Monday morning (AEST).

TdF ~ Update
Well I'm a little under the weather (due to the weather and late nights watching the TdF) so my knitting's slowed a little. Also, I took a couple of nights off, in order to finish the item for my Aussie Knitters Swap pal. It needs to be posted next week, so it needs time to dry. It is finished now, so back to TdF knitting.
Socks: They're coming along, with a little more knitted on the first sock (not yet up to the second).
Scarf: I've started a scarf. It's using 5.5mm needles, so I'm working on that when not working on the socks.

TdF ~ Day 1, 2008
This year I'm, again, participating in the
TdF KAL.

I entered in the "Maillot Vert" category and I'm planning on knitting a pair of TdF-inspired socks.

Yarn:
Pear Tree Yarn's Shades of Alpaca. It's SO soft and gorgeous.
Status: after planning/pattern swatching/winding/knitting/frogging/planning, I started the first sock during the first day of the TdF.
The Race: Again, I'm cheering for Robbie McEwen and Cadel Evans. Go Silence-Lotto! Go Aussies!

FO ~ Cloth
This is the cloth I knitted to send to my Cloth & Soap Swap pal.

Pattern:
Peas and Carrots Scrubber Cloth (
Ravelry link)
Yarn: Anchor Magicline Cotton
Needles: 4.5mm
Modifications: I didn't knit the peas and carrots to attach to the cloth and I added an i-cord loop.
Notes: This pattern works wonderfully with the stripes in this yarn. The bright colours were fun to knit.
